Long time

Good Lord, it’s been a while. A lot has been going on as usual. N. and I were at Dr. W.’s office for a repro med consultation today. Things went well; we’ve decided to move forward with the process, assuming we don’t make any babies naturally in the meantime.

Additionally, we have an offer in on a house; it’s a great house and we’ll be really lucky if we get it. It’s a short sale, meaning the current owner owes more on their mortgage than they can sell the house for, so they’ve arranged with their bank to sell the house instead of foreclosing. It’s a bad situation for them and everyone else who got caught up in the housing bubble in recent years, but perhaps it will work out for us. We may not find out for another week or more. The seller’s bank has the offers and we expect them to potentially come back asking for the three offering parties to submit a best-offer, which would mean more waiting. Alternatively they could simply accept the best of the three current offers. We really have no idea what they will do.

So a lot has happened since my last post. It’s amazing how quickly life moves. A month was a lifetime when I was 16; now things can change in such a short amount of time.
